Sowing seeds of goodness today for the goodness I look forward to receiving tomorrow.

I had gotten out of the habit.

Now I am looking outward.

Being ingrown is painful.

Breathing

I added Yoga to my exersize routine in mid-July.  It’s an hour long Hatha Yoga class on Tuesdays and Thursday’s.  So we focus on breathing. We ground a pose, find our breath, and hold the pose.

I had never focused on breathing before, and I have found it relaxing and enjoyable.

Something so simple.  Breath in, breath out.  Breath in 2,3,4…Breath out 2,3,4,5.   Repeat.

In the quest to reinvent myself, I’ve started with the most basic necessities. My breathing.

One of the tricky parts of reinvention is the fact, it’s still me at the end of the day.  It will always be me.

So, breathing is underway.  Thinking is underway.  Training my body with exersize, and training my mind with casting down negativity, and doubt and focusing on positivity, strength, and learning new things.

I breath in the beauty of my future.  I breath out the creativity and strength to create and embrace it.

Labor Day Binge Watch

Yes, I will….because I can.

I’ve read the books, and now I’m binging on the HBO series Game of Thrones.

So far:  Season one came reasonably close to the first book…..the rest is exceedingly questionable, except the number of people who die.  Besides Ros, and she doesn’t count, cause she wasn’t in the book.

Tyrion Lanister/Peter Dinklage, you are remarkable, and your portrayal of Tyrion is spot on for me.  Thank you for bringing the book to life.

Jon Snow/Kitt Harrington. Will you survive the betrayal at Castle Black?

I will wait for the new book.  The books are so much richer than the HBO departure. I sincerely hope the last book “finishes everything off”.  Bad pun, so sorry..but Winter is coming!  Time for a finale to the Game of thrones.

I hope this next season explains more of where Bran ends up.  Will his role play a part in controlling the white walkers?

Who will ride the other two dragons?  Will Danareus Storm Born invade the 7 kingdoms?

Will Arya become a “faceless man”?  Will she become like her Targarean hero who rode her own dragon?

Since HBO took such liberty with Sana’s story, will she pick up her mother’s story line in the upcoming season?  It should be interesting.

Will the white walkers invade?

Where did Little Finger go?

What about Varys?  Is he a Targarean bastard?

So many details.

So many Characters.

Who will ultimately sit on the Throne made from a thousand swords?

The FUTURE challenge

future

My dearest buddy Rob from the VPub has nominated me for something fun!

He’s a great blogger, has wonderful music posted both original, and other artists.  His blog is witty, entertaining, interactive, social, and I’m so happy I was introduced to him in this blogosphere.

For the Future Challenge the rules are as follows:

Rules:
• Thank the bloggers who nominated you. Thank you, Rob!
• Link back to the challenge creator, Dreams and Movie Screens so she can track your progress.
• Share 5 things about your future (jobs, kids, marriage, travel etc). Then one day you can look back and find out how psychic you really are.
• Tag 5 bloggers and put them up to the challenge.

5 things about my future.

  1.  My future is very bright, but uncertain right now for my profession.  I’ve always worked, I like to work, and I will work again.  I’m not sure if that will be as a bee keeper, honey producer, or as a check out clerk at the local grocery store.  Who knows, I might start a serious blog for income?
  2. My husband and I are focused on where we will go after retirement, and we bought some land a couple hours from any City.  We will raise bees, and see how that will impact us either as a hobby or a business.
  3. My children are grown, and I’m looking forward to grandkids someday.  When we build our house in the country, it’s going to have a cool bunk room for the grand babies, a play area with rope swings, 4 wheelers to ride, pond to fish, and a place where the whole family can congregate together.
  4. Someday in the near future my husband and I want to travel to the Home Countries; The Czech Republic for him, Scotland/England for me.  I really want to do the river boat cruises through Europe.
  5. In this transitional phase for me, I’m in between so much.  I wrote a fellow blogger recently, that it’s like a very long slow curve I’m traveling around and I can’t see what’s around the bend.  I’m not afraid that I don’t know.  But distractions keep me from staying positive.  My future is bright, and tomorrow I will wake up again in anticipation of ‘something good’ happening, because;  Something Good is Going to Happen!

I’d love to open this challenge up to anyone who would like to participate.

Specifically:  Marla, AKA Crazy Mom at Just Make the Coffee, Lorrie Bowden, Lucy at All Right Choices,  and Christy Life As Christy.

As I take these seminars on Big Thinking, I’m really challenged with these things to push myself a little farther.  My nose has been to the grind stone for so long.  I’ve looked up and I’m over 50.  Time to get dreaming about my future, don’t you think?

Thanks Rob for the nomination.

Monday, Monday

On Mondays, I wonder where the weekend went.

Today, I wonder where this year went.

Wasn’t yesterday Easter?

This year is whizzing past me at record speed.

Today I’m grateful for time to think, choices that are made, and looking forward to the future.

For the man I love

Planning again.

We are planning again.

The spark of wonder at building our new life is as exciting as when we began.

We are not giving up what we have, by no means.

We are just starting a new chapter.

Cheers my love.

Facing forward

One step at a time, cleaning up and getting prepared for tomorrow.

IMG_0910.JPG

There is much to do. To leave the business of death, and move forward into life, living, loving, jobs, and those who care for me.

Tomorrow, I take a few minutes for me. Rebuild my base, and look forward to the future.

Today I am grateful for progress, my loving husband, half a cleaned house, a plan for the estate sale, and a new view on life.

I’m also grateful for simple things, and the plans to make our life simple and easy.

As you go forward into your week, hug up everyone you love. Give someone a smile. You never know what they are going through.

Recurring Visions

You hear all the regular schpiel on vision, goals, resolutions, etc. Most of its good, some of it’s rote.

I take some of it seriously, and work toward creating a vision for myself…..the older I get, the more my vision becomes one of me driving a cool old truck, living somewhere rural, and wearing blue jeans every day.

Seriously, the longer I go in the big-city, corporate, 5 year plan, do it faster, better world, the more I see myself driving a pickup, raising dogs, and living in the country. Hmmm. 50 is having a profound effect.

Onward and upward

Searching for the motivation in the midst of disappointment isn’t necessarily difficult. I’m over my surprise, and practicing the gratitude of letting go. Everyone has the right to their own choices, and I’m grateful that I too get to choose. My choices count, and I can go where I’m celebrated without rancor. I’m still disappointed that my radar and intuition failed me, but it stings less today.

It’s amazing what a good workout will do to help release some of the hurt.

I’m grateful today for the people who love me, who “get me”, and laugh with me over my quandaries.
