  1. Forgive my disbelieving nature, but I had to “research” this one too. It could easily have been photoshopped also, but the product is real. Although not available to the public yet, MSN did a taste test and found that although rather strange, it does taste good as an accompaniment to other foods–breakfast sandwiches, eggs, waffles, etc. OKAY! I think I’ll stick to real pumpkin flavor available in pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread. Now, that’s good!

    • Brave souls! I don’t think I would be able to stand the smell. Regular spam just weirds me out. It’s too gelatenous! Add the really strong spices, it would be a double “no”!

  2. Just about every other Pumpkin (Spice) flavored food or beverage I can recall ever trying I have found to be pretty good so I’m more than willing to give this one a try. Frankly, other than frying it, I’m hopeful that this will be a new way to make the otherwise, as I recall, pretty bland taste of Spam more palatable. Unfortunately, though, I don’t think flavoring of any sort can do anything to improve the (in)consistency of good ol’ Spam as one slides it out of its home in a can.

I’m pretty good with anything that is offered in a Pumpkin flavor, just so long as availability will be generally limited to fall. Like peeps in Spring and peppermint in Winter, it’s the rarity and seasonal anticipation that makes a lot this type of thing so attractive to me!
