I had gotten the Tickets to the Clint Black Trace Adkins concert so long ago, I had almost forgotten about them.
My husband and I had made a decision in January to get out to at least 2 concerts this year, and we started looking at the events coming through our town back then.
We made our way to the concert venue last night. Enjoyed a fabulous evening of singing along to all the songs we used to dance to when we started dating in 1991.
Terry Clark opened, she was great! We had first seen her at the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo at the Astrodome, when she was first getting started in the early 90’s. Trace Adkins had all the base in his show shaking our seats! That was an interesting effect when he started on his signature low notes. I had a minor giggle fit over that. He’d hit a low note and my seat would shake harder…..that was funny!
Clint Black didn’t even get going till 10:30 pm. I had forgotten what a good musician he is. He did some great covers of Merl Haggard, and Waylon Jennings songs. He told fun stories. He’s a funny guy.
It was 4 hours of fun. I loved the venue. Our seats weren’t right on top of each other like at the sports arenas. The ushers were DELIGHTFUL! They were kind, and accommodating and made everyone who was confused over their seat location unconfused in the nicest possible way. I was so impressed with the Usher in our section, I told her on the way out how much she improved our evening by her kindness. I watched her all evening. She kept the same smile, the same geniality, the same kindness with everyone. It was impressive.
We didn’t get home till almost 1 am. A really late night for us. It was great from entering the parking lot, till we were swiftly directed out of the parking lot.
A date night is such a treat for us. We’ve been dragged in such different directions this year. I’m glad we bought our tickets last January. I’m so grateful to spend some time out with my man.
