What is success? How do we measure it? Does it depend on the season of our lives?
I’m full of questions, and of course, Emerson has some wisdom to share.

What is success to you?
Being respected, appreciated, loved, and needed by others. In my mind, success has little to do material things. The legacy we leave and the measure of our character are more important than material items. To me, at least. π
So true. Stuff is just stuff. It doesnβt last.
True. That said though, Iβm not giving up my truck, boat, cameras, or kayaks. Nope. ππ
Nor should you. Characters are allowed to have toys. It goes with the character! π
Hahaha! Agreed. π
it is a difficult question. but i think if at the end of the day we can put our head on the pillow and feel peace, we had a successful day.
Peace is essential to our own success. I completely agree and relate.
Success is knowing that each day I’m the best person that I can be.
I like that. My least successful moments are when I know I could have done better.
I saw the news about the fires in Boston. You OK?
It was crazy. The closest to me was about 10 miles, so it never made its way to my town.
It looked terrible. Glad you are OK.
Thank you, Wendy! β€
Today, success for me is having WordPress let me post comments on blogs after a week of not being able to on anyone’s blog. ππ Although, now, despite the fact that I received email notification of your blog post, it says I am not following you. Seriously though, I like the quote. Success is not material things and success is different for everyone.
Oh technology. It is a challenge. Glad you are still here! Glad I can still see yours.
Success is satisfaction with life! Thank you for this post!
