Odd seasons

Many moons ago now, (cause I had to look it up) Mary Chapin Carpenter had a song called the Bug.  It was on her Come On Come On album from 1992.  I think that counts as Many Moons, since it was over 25 years ago.

It describes perfectly how this year has gone so far.

We are into February, and I am feeling off balance. Friends are distant, things are changing. Work is stalled. I’m doing my best to keep a good attitude, and hoping to being the Windshield soon.

Are we in for another Moon Event?  How many Blue, Super, Wolf, Eclipsing, Moons can we have in such a short period of time?  Could that be the cause of such oddness going on?

  1. Yeah, I agree. I feel like this is the calm before the storm, and it’s uneasy. Keeping in theme with your post, I’ve recently written a new song called “Blood Moon”.

  2. Hang in there, man. The dog days of winter get me down too. All these moon phases could have something to do with it too. Can certainly have its effects on how we feel both mentally and physically. I just need some 70 and sunny. That’s always good for what ails ya’. 😃

  3. The lack of sunshine, the moons and tides–they do all work together…or not! Regardless I hope it “all comes together” for you soon and you get to be the windshield. I’ll trust you on the math. 25 years??? 1992 sounds like such a short time ago!

    • I saw an article the other day about this Millennium, and how surreal it has been. Yesterday it was 2000, which means 1975 would have been 25 years ago.
Whatever bubble of time I’m in, or whatever moon, tide, etc is pulling at me, I’m doing my level best to be quiet and let it pass. No need to cause myself any unneeded drama!

  4. I’m being positive, but winter gets to me after awhile. We just found out we’re going to owe a bunch in taxes, so that sucks, but like you, I’m trying to maintain my equilibrium and put on my big girl panties and just deal. Sometimes I hate being a grown up. I think I’ll have wine and watch the Olympics!
