Gotta cook

I don’t like this Springing Forward silliness.

So how shall I console myself?  I will cook.

After a rainy Sunday of tax return preparation, rain, laundry, and Springing Forward…..I’m cooking.

Steak, a really nice ribeye.

Mushrooms in red wine reduction with lots of Garlic.

I have a salad ready to chop and serve.

But. I might need a little sweet. So I made cupcakes with Salted Carmel butter cream frosting.

Wendy officially has too much time on her hands to get this much done on a Sunday when we lose an hour.

  1. Looks delicious! I’m glad you had a good day. Have you ever met anyone who liked the daylight savings time concept? We have that today (actually in Mexico it is about a month away, but I feel your pain) along with a full moon. OOOOWWWW!

  2. Hahahaha, too much time. I wish I had too much time on my hands. Those cupcakes look delish.
    The clocks went forward there?
    Have a great day.
    🙂 ❤

  3. I’m sorry, but you women who actually LIKE to cook make me sick. There’s a story behind the following statement but I’ll just put it out there for now. It’s the day after St. Patrick’s Day and my husband has had his fingers crossed since I announced a few days ago that I WOULD cook him one of his favorites, Corned Beef and Cabbage, SOMETIME around the actual holiday on which it is usually served!☘️

    • I won’t make corned beef unless I can use my crockpot. I’m a lazy cook.
Cooking and writing are my only creative outlets. I cringe over people who can draw, sing, and speak multiple languages. Oh well.
Have a wonderful week. Hope you get to your St. Patrick’s day meal soon. Love corned beef and cabbage, yum!

      • Well, I feel better, now that I know you’re a lazy cook, after I thought I had jumped on you for cooking such a feast. I’m so lazy that I don’t even use real plates anymore, only paper. Still use bowls and cups that have to be cleaned, though, just to run the dishwasher often enough to make sure that it still works!

      • Who uses real plates? I’m with you on that.
I’m just about enjoying, and I enjoy paper plates.
Save me from the suspense, you have to tell me if you sing, speak multiple languages or are good with numbers!

  4. None of the above, I can proudly say! I’m just about enjoying, too, and you can’t go wrong with crock pot corned beef and cabbage, even when it’s not even close to St. Paddy’s day!
