Dreams and awards, and exercise in waking up.

I would like to thank my lovely friend Rob from the VPub for this nomination!

Please go visit his spectacular blog.  I adore his tag line, “Friends without borders”.

You can find him at  The V Pub

The rules for this award:

1.  Thank and follow the blog that nominated you.

2.  Tell us 7 dreams of yours.

3.  Nominate bloggers you enjoy.

I didn’t realize how wimpy and pale my dreams were until I started to put this together.  It took me longer than I imagined, and I’m glad I sat down and did some dreaming, it was good for me.  Here are my 7 “dreams”.

  • To really love people.

I have dealt with a lot of pain and rejection in my life, and I tend to hold myself back from really engaging.  In my mind I see myself loving people better, and better as I become stronger and stronger.

  • To have no fear

When I conquer all the fear, I will sing again in public and be unashamed of what anyone thinks of me.

  • Someday I want to live in the mountains.

I’ve been a flatlander, living in the coastal plains of Texas since 1986.  I would love to live in a cooler dryer place, surrounded by majestic views of mountains and streams.

  • I want to be a Kick Ass Grandma.

There are no grandkids on the way yet.  I just found out that I have my first 4 legged, fuzzy grand baby.  Someday, when my boys have children, I want to be the favorite grandma.  Where the grand babies don’t want to go home, and they always want to come back to see me.

  • I want to see all 50 states.

I’ve been to a fair portion of our great nation, but I definitely want to see all 50 states.

  • I want to have a really beautiful garden.

  • I want to make something that everyone would love to have.

Thanks for letting me share some of the fruits of this exercise.  I’m going to practice my dreaming more, and see what my heart starts telling me!

Don’t forget to go visit Rob at The V Pub

  1. That was terrific, Wendy! That mountain isn’t too shabby, either! The question of what I would do if I weren’t afraid is really a compelling question. Thanks for participating and I look forward to reading your nominees.
