Emerson and me

“If the king is in the palace nobody looks at the walls.”

“By fault of our dulness and selfishness, we are looking up to nature, but when we are convalescent, nature will look up to us. We see the foaming brook with compunction; if our own life flowed with the right energy, we should shame the brook.”

Excerpt From: Ralph Waldo Emerson. “Essays by Ralph Waldo Emerson.” iBooks.

It is amazing at the largeness of presence some people have. When their authority enters a room, it commands attention. They command attention.

As Believers, we are kings and priests, according to the word. What if we practiced that presence and authority daily, and created energy and flowing abundance wherever we went?

Nature would indeed look up to us if our lives flowed with the right energy.
