Open doors

Yesterday in my travels, I was exiting a particularly unsuccessful call. When I approached the door to the building a young man was reaching to open the door. I stepped back to allow him entrance to the building. He smiled graciously, and held the door for me to exit.

Such a kind gesture….it was simple, genuine, and not at all difficult to do. It was very appreciated on a difficult day.

I was very tempted to get negative, but this kind gesture had me focusing on gratitude, counting my blessings, and casting my care. I knew all would be well.

Kindness is not expensive. You never know when something simple can make someone’s day.
