Blooming color, the garden glows

There is such a softness to the light in Spring, and I had the good fortune of having a stray sunbeam light up this beautiful rose, at just the right moment.

Why are roses so lovely?
They fairly shout out their beauty from bud to full bloom, but a glowing rose, that sings.

Around the corner from this glowing beauty
On a grafted stalk over 100 years old
This brave sweet bud says I’m not quite done yet
With white sweet petals lovely to behold.

The oldest rose in the garden.
